James Bachman, 69, was arraigned in New Rochelle City Court on multiple drug and weapons charges following his arrest on Friday, Jan. 24, Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr., announced.
Scarpino said that New Rochelle Police investigators arrested Bachman following an investigation into the sale of narcotics in the area.
According to police, when they served the warrant at a New Rochelle location, police seized cocaine and the materials to produce it. In addition, they recovered five guns including three revolvers and two semi-automatic pistols. Ammunition for all of the weapons was also recovered.
Specifically, Bachman was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and six counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, all felonies. He made a court appearance on Monday, Jan. 27 and is scheduled to appear back in court on Wednesday, Feb. 5 to respond to the charges.
